The Freedom to Be

My intent with this patriotic and charming gentleman was to communicate both whimsy and optimism. The words that appear in the background, “dream,” “imagine,” “peace,” and “love” are meant to create a connection between those ideals and the donkey’s joyful individuality. I’ve named the piece “THE FREEDOM TO BE” because I think about freedom as not only being a national ideal, but as the freedom to be authentic, different, and unapologetically yourself.
