Morning Gratitude

We were on our way to Santa Fe, New Mexico a few years ago when we stopped at a charming little book store to stretch our legs. I ran across a wonderful little book of poetry by Brian Andreas entitled, “Trusting Soul.” I connected to the words and messages in so many of his poems. One of his poems, in particular, left an impression on me and I made up my mind I would use it one day in a piece of art. Morning Gratitude was created with ink, charcoal and color pencil. It has a lilac mat encased in glass and a beautiful distressed silver frame.
