Blossom Buddy

The inspiration for this piece was my Goldendoodle Sophie who started tossing around some fallen petals from a bouquet of flowers my husband had bought me. She wasn’t eating them, but was definitely sniffing them, licking them, and wanting to play “catch” with them. What can I tell you — she’s part retriever and likes to retrieve anything and everything! This mixed media piece is layers of acrylic paint and some collaging of papers that I painted. It is also encased in a beautiful black frame.
