Cosmic Kaleidoscope

This particular piece represents a peek into the bright and beautiful Andromeda Galaxy which is considered one of the most beautiful due to its size, brightness, and proximity to our own Milky Way. It is also one of the most studied galaxies in astronomy. The piece was created with layers of acrylic paint. I used a rubbing alcohol technique to create many of the beautiful and fluid patterns that you see; this process involves layering paint, using the alcohol and letting it dry before moving on to the next layer. I have encased the art in a black wood frame.
