“Almost A Kiss” captures that almost-moment—just before connection—when two very different energies lean toward each other. The sun and moon meet in a space that feels playful, curious, and full of quiet possibility. I mixed stucco into the paint to create a rough, earthy texture, giving the surface a sense of age and imperfection. That texture contrasts with the softness of their expressions, where there’s a hint of warmth—and maybe even a little humor—in how close they come. To me, it’s about how opposites aren’t just balanced—they’re drawn together. Sometimes the most meaningful moments live right at the edge, in that space that feels like almost a kiss.
